Training Program on Beekeeping and Pollination for Farmers from Ramgarh, Nainital

A one-day exposure-cum-training program was organized at the Rural Technology Centre of the Institute. A total of 15 farmers from Ramgarh Block, Nainital participated in the program under the livelihood project is being run by an NGO-Society for Uttaranchal Development & Himalayan Action (SUDHA), Almora. During the program, the farmers were trained in the management of beekeeping practices, with special emphasis on the dependence of honey bees on foraging resources and their importance in pollination and ecosystem sustainability.
