A group of 250 students from PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Ranikhet, Almora, visited the Institute as part of a three-day educational exposure programme aimed at promoting scientific temper in environmental education. During the visit, students gained valuable insights into the ecological significance of the Himalayan region and the Institute’s contributions towards its conservation. They were introduced to key themes, including water resource management, biodiversity, sustainable resource use, and climate resilience. The students explored state-of-the-art facilities, including laboratories, the Automatic Weather Station, and Suryakunj, where they engaged in hands-on learning on environmental monitoring and field-based innovations. An engaging session on Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) further sensitized students towards adopting sustainable lifestyles and responsible environmental practices.
