A total of 205 students—85 from PM Shri GIC Amsyari, Bageshwar, and 120 from PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Almora—visited the institute as part of an educational exposure tour. During the visit, the students were briefed on the institute’s mandate, major research initiatives, and key achievements related to the conservation of the Himalayan environment and its natural resources. They visited various laboratories, the Automatic Weather Station, and Surykunj, where they gained firsthand exposure to ongoing scientific research and field-based innovations. The visit inspired the students to develop a scientific outlook and encouraged them to adopt sustainable and eco-friendly practices in their daily lives to contribute toward combating climate change.
